One Day In Hongkong

Victoria Peak (Tai Ping Shan)

Overlooking the Central district on Hong Kong Island, Victoria Peak (Tai Ping Shan) is one of the best vantage points for stupendous views of the harbor and high-rises. Rising 1,810 feet (552 meters), Victoria Peak is topped with the touristy Peak Tower complex of shops, restaurants and 360-degree Sky Terrace viewing platform.

Go for a stroll through the Victoria Peak Garden, follow one of the many nature walks on the mountain, and stay on for nightfall to see Hong Kong's spectacular nightly light show.

Victoria Peak is on Hong Kong Island. Whether you travel by tram or bus, the steep trip up to Victoria Peak is part of the experience. The Peak Tram leaves Central every 10 minutes or so from the lower terminus

Ocean Park

Ocean Park is the best them park that I've been to so far. It have a lot of thrill rides rather than Disney Land. And I am the kind of person who is not afraid of any thrilling rides. Thus, Ocean Park is for me! :D Let us now let the photos and captions do the talking.

They say, "Save the best for last", and I think we did. Our last day in Hongkong was the best - for me. I'm not that much of an adventure seeker but when opportunity knocks I open it directly though not as wide as others may opt to. This worthwhile adventure I had was at Ocean Park, Hongkong.

We already packed our things as we'd be leaving at midnight and left our baggage at the hostel reception area. Took the train, rode the bus and there we were, hurriedly lining up to have our CTS vouchers exchanged for regular tickets. And now the moment we've been waiting for, Ocean Park - was also our last Hongkong destination before bidding goodbye to fantasyland and back to reality.

The Avenue of Stars is also a good place to watch the nightly multi-media light and music performance, known as The Symphony of Lights every night starting at 8.00 pm. Spectacular fireworks displays can also be seen on special occasions.

Hong Kong Disneyland is located on Lantau Island near to the Hong Kong International Airport. It is a theme park assimilating the features of Disneyland Park in California and others. The theme park consists of four major themed areas, namely Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland, and each packed with thrills and spills to enthral tourists. Apart from these four areas, three further areas will be added by 2014, including Grizzly Trail, Mystic Point and Toy Story© Land. Each day, Hong Kong Disneyland has “Disney on Parade” and “Disney in Stars”, which is a fireworks show. At major festival seasons, like Chinese New Year, Halloween, Christmas and New Year, the park holds many special activities which attract hundreds of thousands of visitors either from domestic or international.
